Well, there’s nothing like a relaxing weekend that requires little prep work - amirite?!

That’s why staycations are my jam. As much as I love to travel, it’s a lot of WORK. And, it can be exhausting. Escaping to a cool spot - that’s a short drive from home - with the absence of house chores and responsibilities… SIGN * ME * UP *

If you’ve never been to Hilton Buffalo Thunder you NEED to add it to your list. Man oh man did I have the most fabulous, relaxing weekend! Their staff provided exceptional service and my junior suite was spacious and comfortable - YASSS

Made it a girls’ weekend and enjoyed a little bit of all the resort has to offer. Ordered room service to start off my Saturday morning and it was bomb.com, legit. Pancakes + waffles with fresh fruit (please ignore my failure to focus on nutritious foods, they were good for the soul).

Then, headed to WO'P'IN SPA - YOU GUYZZZZ omg, I die. Enjoyed the WO'P'IN Deluxe Body Indulgence. This included a revitalizing scrub, detoxifying herbal wrap, and relaxing body butter application and massage. My massage therapist, Misty, was incredible! She was professional, skilled and super friendly. Such an amazingly restorative morning. **Highly recommend

After some spa time, we hit the pool. There’s nothing quite like the architectural aesthetic of the resort against New Mexico skies. The cabanas are perfect for a group of friends (bachelorette party, birthday party or some other significant celebration) and ya gots access to some draaanks if that’s your thing :)

You can’t forget to check out the Red Sage Restaurant. It’s a new American grill serving anything from Berkshire Pork Shank Christmas to Rigatoni with Chef's Sunday Sauce. Also, I should mention that I LOVE the live music at the Turquoise Trail. I’m a total sucker for a good country band!

Admittedly not a gambler, but I don’t mind hitting the slots every now and then (especially when I win :)) There’s plenty to do any time of the day - and night - at Buffalo Thunder!

So, if you’ve never stayed, my recommendation is that you make it a thing. Whether you live in Santa Fe, New Mexico or anywhere in the U.S. (world?) it’s sure to be an enjoyable stay! The resort is beautiful, unique and the ultimate relaxing weekend getaway.

Let me know your thoughts when you check it out! Because if you’re reading this, you’re gonna check it out, right?…. ;)
